Data and trust

Projects keep data apart

Each project has its own keys, end users, usage and balance. An end user belongs to one project, and what is theirs — conversations, files, memory — cannot be reached from another project.

The console shows activity, not content

The console lists sessions, calls, usage and changes: counts, times, status and cost. It does not show what your end users said, uploaded or received.

Credentials stay short-lived

  • A key's secret is shown once, when the key is created, and is meant to stay on your servers.
  • A user token works for one end user, for at most a day, and can be revoked at any time — for one user, or for every user of a project at once.
  • Disabling an end user stops their tokens at once.

See Authentication.

  • An upload that is not used within 30 days expires, and its content is deleted.
  • A file's download link is made afresh each time the file is read, and works for one hour.

See Files.

Every change is recorded

The audit log records every change to a project, its keys and its end users: what changed, when, and who made it — you in the console, one of your keys, or NewEyes.
